New College West is a remarkably diverse community that includes students, faculty and staff. As a look through our Student Facebook reveals, New College West undergraduates hail from every corner of the globe and every state in the nation. They are joined in our dorms by Resident Graduate Students (RGSs) from a broad range of academic departments. In addition, New College West’s many Staff and Faculty Fellows can be found in our dining halls and seminar rooms, teaching, hosting and attending an array of academic and social programs.
Some members of the New College West community play special roles in ensuring that our students are safe, productive, and happy. Residential College Advisers (RCAs) live in the dorms and provide friendly care and guidance for first-years. Community Living Advisers (CLAs) also live in the college and support sophomores, juniors and seniors. In addition, Faculty Advisers and Peer Academic Advisers offer academic advice and assistance. The College Council is the student body that organizes special social and cultural events such as the trips to New York. Last but not least, the College Staff is available to assist with any questions or needs.
