As faculty in residence, I participate in the social and intellectual life of New College West. I am a literary scholar by training, and I primarily focus on modern Italian literature. I am interested in 'the contemporary', broadly understood: some of the classes that I teach, and some of my writings, center around the cultural relevance of topics such as horror, the weird, and artificial intelligence. Before I moved to the United States in 2016, I was a semi-professional esports player, and I also trained dogs in high school as a side gig.
