Bio/Description
I'm a Professor in the Department of Music with an affiliation in the Department of Psychology. I run the Music Cognition Lab, where we strive to integrate approaches from the humanities and the sciences to answer questions about music. Before coming to Princeton, I spent two decades at the University of Arkansas. Before that, I completed my PhD at Columbia University and my undergrad in piano performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. In addition to playing the piano, I love running on the towpath, seeing plays at my husband's theater company, hiking New Jersey with my family, and striving to accompany my banjo-playing son on on the bass.
