Hi everyone! Welcome to New College West. My name is Joel and I am from Chicago, Illinois. I study the behavior of animals that eat plants (herbivores) and how it impacts plant communities and population dynamics. I graduated from Yale University with a B.Sc. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology in 2018.

My favorite place on campus is the Tow Path. If you asked me about a unique skill related to Princeton, I would say I am an expert on where the deer hang out on Princeton's campus. I also have lots of experience with time management and juggling multiple responsibilities. As you begin your journey here at Princeton, my advice would be: Do what makes you happy, not what you think will look good on your resume.
