Bio/Description

Rosina Lozano is an Associate Professor of History who is affiliated with the Programs in Latino Studies, American Studies, and Latin American Studies and has advised since 2014. Prof. Lozano is originally from the Bay Area in California and enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with her two boys. She is the author of the award-winning book, An American Language: The History of Spanish in the United States, and is a recipient of the Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Award (2019) and the President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching (2023).
